OOTD: Polka Dot Day Wear

Another day, another chance to be a work-wear maven! Today’s outfit is based on one of my favourite work-day outfits as a tribute to the pin-up girls of past. I love pairing a retro polka-dot blouse  with the hip-skimming peplum skirt to really make an hour-glass figure pop! A classic pointed patent pump (say that 3 times fast!), red bow belt and gold jewellery are reminiscent of the 1950’s and add a vintage flair 🙂

Lust List: Valentino

This time we are are doing a High-Fashion Friday, with a a little tribute to one of my fave designers, the legendary Valentino. After drooling over these gorgeous creations, I managed to pick a few of my fave pieces. The noticeable trend among the chosen pieces: studs and lace; I love lady-like with a bit of edge.
My most favorite, to-die-for pick: Rockstud Two-Tone T-Strap Slingback Pumps *SWOOOON*!

Fashion Friday: Bold Gold Ambition

Welcome to another edition to Fashion Friday after a brief Holiday hiatus 😉 This look is inspired by my burning ambition to accomplish all of my New Year Resolutions this year! One of them being to revamp my style and take on some of the crazier trends and I have a feeling it’s going to be a big year for gold, leather and bustiers! I’ve put together a sexy little outfit, perfect for an exciting night out, by pairing a jacquard bustier with a hot leather, zippered skirt and then added gold accessories to shine on all through the night.

I love the jewel tones in the winter, and this outfit has such a rich palette blended with some clean and bright pastel colours. I like how these items are bit unexpectedly put together; a fanciful statement necklace with suede booties and voluminous top and bottom some how work together to create a covetable ensemble.

OOTD: Concert Attire

Hello my lovely muses, here’s a  little ensemble that would be just perfect for rocking out at your fave headliner! I am going to see Lady B. herself tomorrow night and in honour of her musical genius and all around amazing fashion sense I have put together a little set that reflects her edgy and glam yet still sophisticated style.
Pairing a pair of leather leggings (that will have you looking Bootylicious) with a nude, chiffon tunic mixes edgy and elegant. I love how the belt accents your natural waist, giving you a sexy hourglass shape. We have added some knock out accessories with a statement necklace that pairs nicely with a higher neckline and an onyx coloured cocktail ring for some extra bling. I always prefer to bring smaller bag so that I can get my jam on and this studded little number with a long strap is perfect. Lastly, we finish up with some sexy leather wedge booties so that you can dance the night away comfortably and stylishly.

Slumber Party Essentials

Let’s face it, even when you are out of your pre-teens sleepovers are still fun! A girl friend of mine was in town on business and we decided to kick it old school and have a sleepover in her hotel room 🙂 Here are some fun ideas for a cute and comfy way to spend a night in, not to mention a concise list of next-morning essentials that would be ideal to bring on a weekend away.
Sleepover Party
On an overnight stay you want to pack light, chances are you won’t need your entire beauty arsenal for a 1 night stay. Here are a few beauty basics that are perfect for short term travel:
  1. Sephora Party Starter Brush Set – A little brush set comes in handy when you don’t want to sacrifice precision in your beauty routine, not to mention this fun little set is adorable!
  2. Stila All Day Try-Me-Set – Teeny tiny but still all of the lovely stay-all-day care you love about Stila 🙂
  3. MAC ‘Mini’ Demi Wipes Cleansing Towelettes – When it is time for bed you will thank yourself for this cleansing cloths, they are great when you don’t have a wash cloth handy.
  4. Urban Decay Naked Palette – This palette is just plain amazing, I take mine everywhere I go because you can create any eye make-up look your heart desires and it takes up minimal space when travelling.
  5. Batiste Dry Shampoo Original Mini – This product rocks! It works perfectly when you need to refresh your hair in the morning but don’t have time for a shower and style.
  6. Sephora Tame The Frenzy Travel Brush – Tame that messy bed-head after a sleepover with this adorable miniature and again, perfect size when you need to pack light!
  7. Revlon Photoready Powder – I love this product, it has amazing coverage and I find that I don’t even need foundation before I apply it.
  8. Bath And Body Works Forever Red – When you don’t want to bring your fancy perfume along (glass bottles are a little fragile!), this scent is luscious and a quick spritz goes a long way.

What is a Pajama Party without your PJ’s? Here are two fun looks that would be perfect for a girls night in:
